Brooke Worthy, Sales Associate
Marchbanks Real Estate
1108 Van Buren Avenue
Oxford, MS 38655
What is your connection to Oxford? I moved to Oxford, MS to attend the University of Mississippi in 1999. I received both my Bachelor and Master degrees in music education. I student-taught in both Oxford city schools and Lafayette county schools. I taught choral music at Oxford Middle School for three years. I then worked at the University of Mississippi’s Croft Institute for six years in administration. I became the Director of the Oxford Civic Chorus in the fall of 2009 and continue to direct this fine group of singers. I am now in my 15th year as an Oxonian and feel deeply connected to the town and the university. My husband is a professor at Ole Miss, and my son will graduate from Oxford High School in 2030.
Why did you choose this area to open your business? I love Oxford. Period. I love the schools here. I love the arts community here. I love the people. Oxford is a great place to raise a family and be involved in the community. Oxford is also a wonderful place for real estate. It’s a mecca in the state of Mississippi, and I hope I can share the wonderful amenities that Oxford has to offer with clients looking to buy in the area. I am very fortunate to be working with a well established real estate agency under the leadership of Dick Marchbanks.
Tell us about the mission of your business. I want my clients to know that when Brooke Worthy is their real estate agent, they are getting top-notch customer service.
How do you want your business to be perceived? I believe in honesty and professionalism. I believe they are the cornerstones of a good business. I also believe in quality customer service. I am working for YOU, and YOU will know that.
Where would you like your business to be in five years? I would like to be busy every day! I like to live my life busy. The busier I am, the harder I work.
